He is an Ordained Elder on the ministerial staff of The Greater Allen AME Cathedral of New York where he has designed innovative workshops and seminars for church leaders, men, youth ministries and married couples. Alfonso Wyatt attended Howard University, Columbia Teachers College, The Ackerman Institute for Family Therapy, Columbia Institute for Nonprofit Management, and New York Theological Seminary, serving as an adjunct professor and program advisor. He is Chair of the Black Leadership Commission on AIDS New York City Affiliate and Chair of The 21st Century Foundation designed to increase philanthropy in the African-American community.
